We are a boutique hostel located
in the heart of Iquitos, Peru, a short walk from the Plaza de
Armas. Our hostel offers free wi-fi internet, free air conditioning, a
quiet courtyard and garden, an air-conditioned TV lounge, private
security lockers in every room, full kitchen facilities, a superfood
smoothie and juice bar, airport pick-up, flexible check-out hours, and
good vibes.
Rates are 35 soles per night ($13) for a bunk bed. This includes a continental-style breakfast, and reliable advice on all the activities and things to explore around Iquitos, from urban nightlife to jungle lodges to ayahuasca ceremonies and retreat centers. We are fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Hebrew. |

About Us Green Track Hostel is an offshoot of Green Track Travels, a full-service tour operator specializing in tours of the Amazon jungle. Green Track Travels owns a private reserve of pristine rainforest, Tapiche Ohara's Reserve, located deep in the jungle on the Tapiche river. A brand new Lodge at the Reserve provides unparalleled access to a range of tropical habitats in the surrounding jungle. Not all jungle in the upper Amazon is the same. The area for many miles around Iquitos, for example, has been over-fished and hunted so much that the wild life has retreated into deeper jungle where there is minimal human impact. Tapiche Ohara's Reserve, because of its isolated setting, represents a place where undisturbed nature can be observed. The Reserve is extremely rich in wild life diversity and the animal populations are very healthy. Both the Lodge and the Reserve itself were created with the express purpose of providing an authentic jungle experience, full of close encounters with all kinds of rare and exotic animal and plant wild life, which is lacking in many other lodges closer to Iquitos. The manager and chief guide at Tapiche Ohara's Reserve is a tropical wild life expert, specializing in birds, fish, and amphibians, who has been working in jungle-based tourism for decades. |
